Shack progress

This weekend the first stage of a deck at the front seemed to take the shack to another level. We all feel quite excited about the result of our months of hard work.  The interior is really comfortable and the outside is looking loved again.  I was busy with curtain making, Margie was on window restoration  and the boys concentrated on the deck. We made time for beautiful beach walks, with fantastic sunsets,  open fires and great meals. No T V but good music as Vince is a professional singer songwriter.  Thanks to Quilt Jude for the Rainbow trout!

  4. All the shack pics always look so welcoming and cozy! You always seem to have beautiful, sunny days also. I'll have to come in and have a look in person one day :)

  6. That looks great. You probably said this in an earlier post, sorry, but is it a holiday place? Fab place to hang out anyway. Thanks for your comment. Look forward to seeing your table! Sometimes I use Farrow and Ball eggshell acrylic - or sometimes Annie Sloan paints (can you get them where you are?) - which give a chalky, French effect (and you don't need to prep the wood with AS paints!!)
