I have made cushion covers from a very very old cotton bedspread completely worn through in places.
Still a shabby corner on this one but will last years I'm sure. The cotton is so thick and spotlessly clean. I think il get four large or two large and several small covers. Il keep you posted.
Think they will look great on a bed.
The fabric looks gorgeous. It's wonderful that it 'has found new life'; a great up-cycling project

ReplyDeletewe are of the generation when there was nothing else but up cycling... ( i grew up with hand me downs and remakes form the girl next door)this generation after are the throw away generation.. so glad we havent followed that trend and are still doing what comes naturally...and i love the european pillow covers by the way.
